Your challenge, by Dr. Ogi Ressel

Warm hellos to everyone,

I just finished teaching Module I in Minneapolis - great energy,
and a great bunch of doctors, spouses, and CAs!

From my perspective, the best thing for me to see and experience,
is the light that shines in everyone's eyes as they realize their own
possibilities and potential in practice - that is what is really exciting
to me and Linda; to see the realization dawn in everyones face that
"I can do this."

I really can have the practice of my dreams! And I can do this without
prostituting my integrity, my honor and myself. And I can do this without
feeling like a used-car salesman. And I can  be paid for what I love to
do! Really!"  Awesome!!!

I have to mention something else:
Here we are; Linda and I are sitting at the Twin Cities Grill at the Mall
of America, having lunch.
Next to us is a young couple, totally cemented in one another. As we
are leaving the restaurant, Linda and I walked up to their table and
told the young girl that she had an absolutely stunning smile. As you can
imagine, both were taken aback, to say the least. The young man though,
totally agreed with us and his love for his girl was clearly written all over
his face - it was quite touching.
So much so that Linda had tears in her eyes. They thanked us and we
were on our way.
I pondered our exchange.

How many times do we pass up a moment where we can really serve
someone with a kind word, a smile, a gesture of friendship, of
kindness - these cost nothing yet their value cannot be measured.
We are so wrapped up in out own lives that we often do not notice the
needs of others.

Your universe is a reflection of what you choose to see. And often we
are blind and only see our own semblance.

And so it is with your practice - many doctors tend to focus on the
mechanical expression of practice - the scheduling of appointments,
the billings, the collections, the staff tribulations, the endless patient
complaints, the unceasing politics, the insurance nonsence, etc. And
we miss the most important aspects of life. We miss the warmth and
love of human connections that we should be making every day, the
wonder of expression, the cravings of appreciation, the zest for life,
and the abundance of spirit - yet this is the life-blood of everyday practice!

In this short message that I writing to you as we streak home above
the clouds, I'd like you to consider the abundance that is present in your life.

Yes, abundance. Not of things neccessarily, but of life.
See it everywhere. Invite it into your universe. Learn to manifest it. Exude it.
Share it with others.
You'll find a different meaning to the word "life."

I would like to give you  challenge - make it a point of your day, to give at
least one person you've never met before, a compliment from your heart.
And expect nothing in return.

Someone once told me: "In a room which has been filled with darkness
for a thousand years, you only need a small candle to see what is
in it - and the need of dusting."

Warmest wishes,
Dr. Ogi Ressel
